No fewer than 28 people said to be individuals from a similar family have been burnt to death in a vehicle accident that happened along the Bauchi-Ningi Federal Highway in Bauchi State on Thursday, December 12.
Secretary, North-West Zone of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Abdullahi Yamadi, said the victims were his family members saying they were headed to Yola, Adamawa State, when the accident happened.
He stated, “Indeed, the incident is valid and the entirety of the victims are my family members. They were venturing out to Yola, Adamawa State, for a visit when the heartbreaking incident occurred. You know this is the season individuals travel to visit friends and family inhabitant in better places; and that was the place they were going to.
“They left Dutsinma, Katsina State, and they had left Jigawa State and were inside Bauchi State when their vehicle had a head-on crash with another vehicle. They were 29 in the vehicle and every one of them kicked the bucket aside from the driver, who survived but sustained injuries.
“This is a pitiful news and regrettable for 28 individuals from a similar family to die in an accident one day. It is extremely sad.”
